K. 688. \(\displaystyle a)\) Is it possible to form pairs out of the numbers \(\displaystyle 1, 2, 3, 4, \dots, 23, 24\), so that the sum of each pair should be a perfect square?

Megoldás. a) Igen. Mivel a \(\displaystyle 25\) négyzetszám, így könnyen találunk megfelelő párosítást:
\(\displaystyle 1+24=2+23=3+22=...=11+14=12+13=25.\)
b) Nem lehet. Kössük össze azokat a számokat, melyeket összeadva négyzetszámot kapunk. A 18 párja csak a 7 lehet, így a 9 párja csak a 16, és a 2 párja csak a 14, így a 11 párja az 5. Ekkor azonban a 20-nak nem lesz párja.
